Balance on the milking stool and milk your glass of milk yourself − it’ll taste much better than what you’re used to. You’re sure to manage it, it’s not that difficult! Then you can recover from the work with an aperitif and a local cheese/cold meat platter in the rustic setting of the herdsman’s hut.
Cow Elsa
This cow doesn’t eat grass and is also not regularly milked, it simply stands there where you want it to and doesn’t move and is much easier for practising. Yes, she is made out of plastic.
And another thing…
The cows chosen by the farmer for milking are real and have plenty of experience of being milked in activities like this! They are very docile and love being milked even though the milking techniques may, at times, leave a lot to be desired! So, don’t worry about trying this out for yourself. You’re sure to think differently about the milk you drink in the future.
