The home-made autumn hit out of Tiffany glass can be put up outdoors or indoors!
Halloween is fast approaching and everyone is putting up their decorations, also here. However, this year you will make a pumpkin which you will be able to enjoy for many years to come. Not only does it look great during the day, but it also has eyes and a mouth which light up in the dark.
Shards of glass bring good luck
After you have been given instructions, you will begin to familiarise yourself with the materials. First, you will cut the Tiffany glass using the mosaic cutting pincers and then stick these shards of glass onto the pumpkin. The specialist in the studio will see to the filling in with the joint grout as the stuck on glass shards need to dry for 24 hours first.
And another thing…
Mosaic has been a popular form of wall decoration already since ancient times and involves the joining of differently coloured and shaped small pieces of stone, glass or even paper and fabric to form a pattern or picture. The word mosaic comes from the Latin “musaicum” (opus, work of muses).

Besides the mosaic pumpkin, there are also numerous other mosaic options for you to try and the activity is also an excellent team building event as you all work together.
