Tip for sledging fans
Did you know that there is a great Alpine sledge piste here which is more than 7km long? The small cable car will take you up to the Fistennpass at an altitude of 2,000 metres. The ideal starting point
You will start your short snowshoe tour from the small village where there is also a nice inn which you will soon get to know. The walk takes you across even terrain and then up and down through forest clearings. Depending on how you feel, we can also extend the tour. To finish, we cross the stream and return to the inn in Urnerboden. You will, no doubt, have worked up an appetite and can now look forward to a delicious fondue in the warm and cosy inn.
And antoher thing…
If you are travelling here by car, your car will need winter tyres. During the day, the road from Linthal is cleared but in the night it is sometimes closed (if there is heavy snowfall) although you probably won’t be on the road at this time. This is also the perfect place for those of you who want to experience a real winter in the mountains. By the way, there are many great activities to be enjoyed on the Urnerboden also in the summer.
