Igloo planning

How do you actually build an igloo? After preparing the building site by stomping around and shoveling, it's time to plan. Where should the house be? What is the easiest way to build it? What size and shape should it be?

Skill and endurance

Start in the "quarry" by sawing the many blocks you will need to build your new home. You'll be amazed at what its made of – it's only snow. Under the expert guidance place layers of blocks. It takes a lot of skill, coordination, and endurance. Block by block your snow-house will grow, until the last block is used in the middle of the roof and the Interior work begins. Finally, the access is made free and you can proudly take a step back and marvel at your work.

Challenging, but impressive

Building an igloo is more demanding and strenuous than people generally think. For larger igloos, you spend hours sawing and piling things up. It takes a lot of specialist knowledge to make an igloo look good and not just a cooling tower. The small project igloos have proven to be a great way to enjoy and experience building. It is impressive to see how an igloo is built in such a short time. Then you can take the ultimate photo. After all, you want your friends to see it too, right?
